Candace Dailey scaledThe recent announcement by Vice President of Athletics, Scott Little of the hiring of Candace Dailey to the position of Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Administration, finishes off several jobs that ASC has completed at Belhaven University. ASC also assisted the Belhaven administration with their recent membership application for NCAA Division III which was due on January 15, 2015.

Dailey begins her duties in February and will focus on the compliance area as Belhaven transitions its policies and procedures from the NAIA to NCAA Division III and the American Southwest Conference. Dailey most recently worked in the compliance office at Mississippi State University. Dailey has her undergraduate and master's degrees from Mississippi State University in business and sports administration, respectively.

"By using their [ASC's] knowledge to get to our short list of candidates that fit what we sought in an athletic director, we easily spent half the amount of time that is normally required in a search like this.   Additionally, they enhanced the pool of by bringing several qualified candidates to the finalist list.  Showing that they know talent, two of the individuals that they sought out, and applied to our position, were hired by and are current NCAA Division II AD’s.  Our search finished with securing a quality hire.  If our institution ever needed to conduct a search for an athletic director, we would without question use the services of ASC."
