GLIAC Article Photo scaledKurt Patberg, who has over ten years of career development experience in intercollegiate athletics spent some quality time with the Senior Woman Administrators of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) primarily helping them work more effectively with search firms. Additionally, this interactive session assisted them in how to properly position themselves to gain next tier administrative positions. This session led by Associate Commissioner, Danielle Harris, also included some up-to-date interviewing and resume development instructions and advice. This presentation and interactive session was held on June 2, 2015 as a part of the GLIAC Spring Management Council meetings at the Atheneum Hotel in Downtown Detroit.

"By using their [ASC's] knowledge to get to our short list of candidates that fit what we sought in an athletic director, we easily spent half the amount of time that is normally required in a search like this.   Additionally, they enhanced the pool of by bringing several qualified candidates to the finalist list.  Showing that they know talent, two of the individuals that they sought out, and applied to our position, were hired by and are current NCAA Division II AD’s.  Our search finished with securing a quality hire.  If our institution ever needed to conduct a search for an athletic director, we would without question use the services of ASC."
