dj washington scaledDJ Washington who serves in a full-time capacity as Vice President Business Development for Athlete Network will be helping ASC for the next year. Washington will be completing his field experience requirements to complete his coursework for his doctorate in Higher Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Kansas. Washington assisted Dr. Patberg with the Southern Athletic Association’s Career Focus Workshop in Atlanta in late May. The workshop was designed to help guide student athletes on their career path after graduation. Dr. Patberg had DJ join a panel of phenomenal experts of the sports industry to really enlighten these soon to be graduates on what to expect from the field of sports and entertainment.

Mr. Washington is a 2003 graduate of Union College (KY) in communications and Marketing. In 2004, DJ obtained his master's degree in Public Relations and Sport Communication from Ball State University. DJ Washington, Vice President, Business Development at Athlete Network is noted as a prominent speaker of career development in collegiate athletics. He has been a frequent guest presenter for several athletic conferences and national associations each year. Over 100,000 student-athletes have attended his career educational seminars at colleges and universities throughout the country. DJ is deeply rooted with hundreds of athletic administrator connections at 4-year institutions of all athletic divisions nationwide. Washington was inducted into the 2013 Union College Hall of Fame Ceremony receiving the Rising Star Award, which recognizes a young alum each year graduating in the last ten years.
