With a specialization of two-year colleges and enrollment driven athletics, Dr. Christopher Parker has joined the staff of ASC. Parker’s also serves as the Vice President of Pfeiffer University a NCAA Division II school that is transitioning to Division III and future member of the USA South Conference.
Dr. Parker was hired to lead the first ever community college in Virginia to compete at the NJCAA level. He took over as the first ever Athletic Director building a comprehensive athletic program. He was personally responsible for fundraising over $2 million for intercollegiate athletics at PHCC to renovate and construct facilities and daily operational needs. In addition, Parker served as the assistant director and director for Region 10 of the NJCAA for seven years, which is the largest Region member in the country. His leadership helped the Commonwealth of Virginia add another eight NJCAA official members over a six-year period and was asked by the system's office to lead a state wide committee. Her served as a consultant to help five of these institutions begin and establish their programs. In addition, Parker served as Dean of General Academics, Vice President, and Executive Director at PHCC before departing for Pfeiffer in January of 2016.
