muwMississippi University for Women, commonly known as “The W”, secured the services of ASC to provide guidance to their administration as they consider bringing athletics back to the Columbus, Mississippi campus. Following a tornado that hit the campus in 2003, The W discontinued the sponsorship of women’s sports that were competing in the Gulf South Conference and NCAA II.  ASC is assisting The W with a feasibility study and cost analysis as well as an application for national and conference affiliation. The study being conducted will assist the leadership in determining their best paths for sport sponsorships, facilities, and conference and national affiliation.  ASC will also assist the institution with a modified search for an athletic director.

"By using their [ASC's] knowledge to get to our short list of candidates that fit what we sought in an athletic director, we easily spent half the amount of time that is normally required in a search like this.   Additionally, they enhanced the pool of by bringing several qualified candidates to the finalist list.  Showing that they know talent, two of the individuals that they sought out, and applied to our position, were hired by and are current NCAA Division II AD’s.  Our search finished with securing a quality hire.  If our institution ever needed to conduct a search for an athletic director, we would without question use the services of ASC."
