Already assisting the administration at Upper Iowa University with its search for an athletic director, Athletics Staffing and Consultants (ASC) announced that it has been secured by Stanislaus State University to assist in its search for an athletic director. Mike Matoso left Stanislaus State in July to become the Director of Athletics at St. Mary’s College, a NCAA Division I school located in Moraga, California. Kim Duyst, who has served as Associate Athletic Director since 2007, has been named Interim Director of Athletics. The Stanislaus State search will begin in November with a proposed start date for this position in the spring of 2018. Dr. Kurt Patberg will be conducting this search.
ASC recently completed a search for the University of Wisconsin Parkside who hired Andrew Gavin. He comes to UW-Parkside from Centre College in Danville, Ky., where he served as associate athletic director for Advancement and External Relations. He oversaw all areas of external relations, directed the expansion of the Centre College sports information efforts, served as a liaison with the admissions office, restructured the athletics department's corporate partners program, and launched a new brand for Centre College Athletics. Gavin worked as a member of the College's advancement staff, overseeing fundraising and alumni relations for athletics. Prior to Centre College, Andrew was assistant athletic director at UW-Green Bay. Gavin is also a participating member of the NCAA Pathways Program.
